Getting to Vienna

Travel by train

For ecological reasons, we strongly recommend that you travel by train. Vienna is in the very heart of Europe, there should be interesting options to travel by train – please have a look at your national train service for further information! We would also like to point out that up to a distance of 700 kilometers, travelling by train is often more convenient and more time efficient.

You may want to contact the Austrian mobility service provider ÖBB for further information: https://www.oebb.at/en/

Getting around in Vienna

The public transport in Vienna, the ‘Wiener Linien’, is a safe, reliable and green option to move around in Vienna. Being a congress attendant, we can offer you special prices to use the public transport in Vienna, including transfer to train stations or International Airport Vienna.

In most parts of the world our life has changed significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic! In these days, more than ever, we can realize how important health is. So we sincerely hope that you and your close ones are healthy.

Due to the restriction announced by the Austrian Federal Government, the 8th annual meeting of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine (EAPM) can´t take place from June 24th - 27th, 2020.

We know that this is very disappointing for many of you and we are really sorry about the inconvenience.

With the constantly changing situation and the probably longer lasting travel restrictions it is currently very difficult to assess when it will be possible and safe to run an international conference again. However, there was such an overwhelming interest in the EAPM conference in Vienna that the EAPM board decided to postpone the conference to next year. Many thanks also to organizers of the subsequent EAPM conferences for being so accommodating and making this change possible. We will immediately inform you as soon as we have further information about date and place of the EAPM conference 2021 in Vienna.

We would like to thank all the participants, authors, and colleagues for their support and warm encouragement in this difficult situation. Please continue to follow us on our website and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to welcoming you to the EAPM conference 2021 in Vienna!

Wish you all the best and stay healthy,

Christoph Pieh
On behalf of the conference committee
